Ian Busher, Mark Gleberzon

Description

Abstract By Design features original, multi-media works by Ian Busher and Mark Gleberzon. Both artists have been working on various series exploring the free-form expressive, modular and rigid formats to be found within the abstract motif.

Born in Toronto, Ian Busher has been a patriotic artist his whole life. At age 13, he won a stamp design contest for the province of Ontario and met Lincoln Alexander. At age 17, he won a poster design contest for Canada Day and met Brian Mulroney and Queen Elizabeth on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Canada Day. At 19, Ian began studying at the Ontario College of Art, but was not able to finish. After spending many years as a licensed carpenter and builder, Ian returned to painting and mixed media designs and has been painting and showing his work for many years. Ian’s works are held in private and corporate collections around the world. Follow Ian on Instagram @studiobusher.

Mark Gleberzon is a 1992 Honours Graduate of OCADU, having studied Communication and Design. Mark has an exhaustive history of offering his paintings and photography throughout Canada and the US; in numerous galleries, exhibitions, trade shows as well as indoor and outdoor art fairs. His work has been featured in magazines including Canadian House and Home, TorontoHOME, MontrealHOME, Art Business News, Elle Decor and other print, tv & film and online media. His work can be found on every continent!

In 2011, Mark opened his own eponymous titled gallery, MJG Gallery, in Toronto; which has since moved online. Follow Mark on Facebook under MJG Gallery, @mjggallery on Instagram, as well as his website www.mjggallery.com.
