An exhibition of uncommon furniture, art, and craft by Fuel Glassworks and Valerie Dennis.
See, touch, smell and taste? Drop by and enjoy a hot beverage, as you discover the distinct techniques and materials used to create each piece on display. Reclaimed barn timber is burnt and molten glass is poured into the crevices to create a series of tables that suggest fire and ice while a faint charred aroma from the wood adds another element of intrigue. White textured artworks, resembling a sea of coral, are made by forming and attaching hundreds of small pieces of plaster bandage to over-sized frames. Large tactile vessels and select lighting complement the collections.
Silver Birch Studio is located in the West Queen West, Art and Design District in Toronto. Used mainly as an art studio, Silver Birch Studio opens its doors throughout the year to present exhibitions, studio tours, and seasonal pop-up sales.
