Showcasing pieces from their 2018 collection, Average invites you to experience a selection of exclusive products for the first time in Canada, spanning industrial, graphic, fashion, and interior design.
Highlights include the following:
MOEBE (Denmark) — Canadian Release
Simple, elegant and well made are the trademarks of a Moebe design. Started only in 2014, Moebe has quickly become a sensation sold across 30 countries in 600 stores. They finally make their entrance to the Canadian market with their signature frames, side tables, and mirrors at Average during TODO18.
MENU (Denmark) — Cast Pendant Light Release
Originally designed for an event during Toronto’s design week in 2014, Tom Chung and Jordan Murphy’s Cast Pendant Light series is now in production by leading Danish design brand, Menu. Celebrate the launch of Menu’s first Canadian-designed product with a special exhibition from the designers themselves discussing the process from conception to production of their light series. The lights will be on view all week following the reception.
THE ATELIER YUL (Canada) — World First
Handmade in Montreal by a master artisans, The Atelier YUL launches their range of made-to-order totes, backpacks, and other “carryalls for creatives” available at a retailer for the first time anywhere.
ACTUAL SOURCE (USA) — Canadian Release
Multi-format publishers Actual Source bring their type-driven apparel and print designs to Canada for the first time, featuring brand new pieces from their 2018 collection.
NORMANN COPENHAGEN (Denmark) — Toronto First
Nordic Design, Normann Copenhagen and design agency Femmes Régionales have teamed up to launch Daily Fiction; a collection of small day-to-day pieces that can be put together in countless ways to create your own stories, available at Average for the first time in Toronto together with a selection of classic furniture pieces from the Danish brand.
