Graphic Design, Industrial Design
Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well being defined by positive or pleasant emotions, ranging from contentment to intense joy. The objects and paintings used in this installation are used to portray happiness and to complement my paintings series. Exploring materials such as concrete, metal, wood, and fabric. I will be doing a contempory take on traditional Chinese inspired furniture.
As a designer I enjoy taking complex problems and turning them into minimal and simple designs. By nature I have a very rational view of design and its ability to function. It is this quality that forms the foundation to my projects. My process, a call to action, drives the result of my work so to say … I do before I think and the result of this instinctive action informs the next. My background is in graphic design but I have grown to think that design bleeds into a dialogue between different disciplines. This allows my designs to be unique and different.
