Danielle Schön is a welder with a creative eye and a passion for bicycles. She started making one-of-a-kind bike frames when she needed a new road bike herself. Following welding school, she travelled to Abbotsford, BC to learn the craft from master frame builder Paul Brodie, and then from Koichi Yamaguchi in Colorado. In her own words, “It was a really fantastic experience to be taught skills from two masters, each with a different approach to the craft. It was an interesting affirmation in that although you are restricted to some extent by physical, chemical, and scientific properties of building, it is indeed an art form with much room for interpretation and creativity.”
