Celebrating ten years of creating responsibly produced furniture, lighting, objects environments, Brothers Dressler will be welcoming visitors to their Toronto studio. In addition to seeing one of a kind pieces, early prototypes and works-in-progress, guests will get to have a look at some of their new design ideas. Current projects on display include: Ash Out of Quarantine (a series of objects made from a few of the nearly one million Toronto Ash trees that have to be taken down over the next 5 years due to Emerald Ash Boring Beetle), select finished pieces and experiments from their Modern Heirloom Project (consisting of repurposed used furniture which has been given new life) objects from the Cut Ups line (a continuing series of objects and lighting made from the scraps produced by the production of their regular collections) and new concepts in lighting design. Companion works from Ash Out of Quarantine will be on display at both CUTMR and DoWest offsite exhibitions.
This is an opportunity to experience the Brothers work in many of the stages along the spectrum from concept to final piece and glimpse the masterly order and creative chaos of their unique process.
