Markus Doerr reports on the workshop. Design with Dialogue is a Toronto based organization which is focused on bringing people together in the spirit of collaboration in hopes of inspiring positive social change. The event held at the Design Exchange on January 24th in partnership with Toronto Design Offsite was attended by a large group of 25 people. Despite the size, the discussion quickly turned very intimately towards our own goals and dreams for our personal future.  This was the first Design with Dialogue session I had ever attended and I didn’t quite know what to expect. The verbal and written exercises which Peter Jones lead the group through ended up opening my eyes to so much possibility for positive growth and action in my own life. I was astounded. From a group of almost perfect strangers, I could feel a community building, a support structure; and as Patricia Kambitsch illustrated our discussion on a huge wall mural, a picture of a vast and multifaceted future for us began to take shape before our eyes and individually in each of our minds. Design with Dialogue holds sessions every month, and I strongly urge you to experience it for yourself. Each one is unique, and each one presents invaluable tools to the participants.
