Volunteers are responsible for assisting staff in the execution of our events and exhibitions. A single volunteer shift may include greeting and surveying the general public.
Bartenders are SmartServe Certified and help with many of our opening receptions. A typical shift is 4 hours. Dates and times vary. Bartenders should directly contact [email protected]
Docents are representatives of the festival at participating events and exhibitions across the city. They are knowledgeable about the festival in general and are responsible for liaising with the general public. They hand out the printed Festival Guide, and also administer the festival’s Audience Survey. A typical shift is 3 hours. Dates and times vary.
Audience surveyors are paired with Docents at events and exhibitions with large audience attendance. They administer the festival’s Audience Survey by engaging with the general public. A typical shift is 3 hours. Dates and times vary.
Festival Photographers will make up a team of photographers that will act as the primary source of documentation for the duration of Festival week. Festival photographers will be responsible for documenting assigned Festival events, signage, venues, people, etc. Photographers must have their own equipment, and available to photograph at least 3 events.
